Vietnam has a huge number of amazing cities to visit, mountains to trek and beaches to lie back. Because of that, it’s undeniable that this country attracts massive tourists, and finding a secluded, quiet and relaxing place could be a challenge.
Taking a break from a crowded cities and bunch of tourists would be great while you still feel a local way of living. The in Ninh Hoa, an hour drive north from the city centre of Nha Trang is a place where hotel rooms are not made out of concrete walls but instead fully design and built with bamboos.
Jungle Beach is located near the tip of the peninsula, on your way you will be waving goodbye from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic city, you will drive pass of all villages before you reach this quiet and secluded hidden gem of Vietnam.

I stayed in the Jungle Beach for 3 days and 2 nights. I am literally blown away how Sylvio, the owner, put up everything together from the scratch. The room I stayed was a bungalow where the walls are supported by bamboos, I slept on a bed that nothing fancy but indeed a comfortable one knowing it’s all nature-friendly.Bungalows
Breakfast will be served between 7.30 – 10.00 am, various options are available. By lunch time at 12.00, all the guests will gather around and will eat a local Vietnamese dishes. I love this way, where we were all talking with each other while enjoying a great food and making new friends. Same set up goes during the dinner at 18.30 (6:30 pm). Followed by a cold beer or great wine is the best way to enjoy the evening.
Delicious local food
Note: Alcohol drinks are not included with the price. You have to pay extra for it.
Surrounded by the magnificent turquoise water and fine sand, you are indeed in a place to lie back and relax your mind. Lying by the shore and falling asleep by the sound of the wave was one of the greatest moments. I went for a run in this beautiful coastline and it was indeed a great view to see while doing some exercises and yoga activities.
Waves in the Jungle beach are perfect for surfers, especially around November and December. Whilst a trekking is also available, I trekked with my friend and the people we met during our stay. The Jungle Beach’s dogs served as our tour guides.
Not a long walk, you will see an amazing waterfall and a parade of buffaloes that are having their afternoon walk. Bicycles are available while motorbikes are available for rent. Frisbee and volleyball are both available upon request.
This place is also designed to welcome family travelers, a playground for the kids are accessible and open during the day. Ping pong table can be found around the children’s play place.
At night, a cozy bonfire will be lit up and cold beers are available by the kitchen. Bring some good food with you, a small speaker maybe, or an instrument to play.
Prices are between 600,000 to 750,000 VND (26-33 USD per night) depending which type of room you wanted to sleep. All 3 meals, included bottomless lemon juice, bottled water and afternoon fruit plate. Options for rooms are; double bedroom, dorm rooms, family room (Deluxe Room) and Superior Room.
This is indeed the best place for people who are getting away from other tourist and noise. Nothing fancy, you get what you need. I like the idea of common lunch and dinner. It helps every traveler to meet and make new friends, share stories and tips for traveling.
Getting there could be tricky. The car service costs 500,000 VND (25 USD), and taking a taxi from the train station or airport will surely cost you more. Nevertheless, as they say, “Hidden gem is hard to find”. There will be no small boutique or kiosk to buy snacks. Their kitchen sells only wine, beers, and other drinks but no snacks when you get hungry in the middle of the night, so remember to bring some.

Personal Experience Review
My entire experience was a blast. I got what I was looking for, a break from the busy world, great sleep by the beach, a true Vietnamese dishes, a place to relax and unwind my mind. I highly recommend this place to all types of travelers; backpackers, solo, and family. The Jungle Beach is indeed not a luxury place, expect yourself to be surrounded by beautiful trees and plants around the resort area, expect some baby crabs wandering around the shore and expect yourself waking and falling asleep with the sound of the waves. I would definitely come back there if I get the chance to.

About the Writer:
Hello! I am Mary Charie Ramos Ylagan I’m a bookworm, ice cream hyped (only chocolate flavour or something with chocolate on it, ah, I don’t even know why I’m babbling about this), writer and a traveller. I am a private person, like very. One of my friends even said that maybe I was a hooker before. But if you are highly curious about my personality (which I profoundly doubt), we should travel together. I’m sarcastic in an annoying way but my very close friends love it, though! Pulling some jokes is like a hobby to me, although this gives me hard time to open up my feelings. That’s why I looove my blog, it lets me express myself in a different angle.
